Curator’s Notes
The combination of hammered steel with the long and narrow shape of this matcha scoop is a feat of the highest grade. Takayoshi Narita methodically hammers and cools each piece of stainless steel by hand to achieve the rich texture and highlights on its surface. Its longer length cuts an elegant shape, while making it easier to reach into deeper tea canisters. With its sleek steel body, this tea ladle gives our matcha ritual an update that is as fresh and refined as the tea tastes.
