Description
I am a Pole Star Ihada Wall Clock. At any given time, I’ll be the brightest star at either celestial pole.
Curator’s Notes
The Ihada wall clocks by Futagami showoff the foundry’s signature ihada casting well because of the large surface area of the clock faces. With subtle irregularities from the sand casting process, each clock comes out uniquely from its mold with luminosity and texture suited to their celestial inspirations.
With it’s starburst shape and unique material, this particular clock brings classic mid-century time pieces to a modern place. It has twelve rays, representing the hours, that cast ever-changing shadows throughout the day.
