Description
I am a Chabudai Table. Fold if you must. Go with the flow and live low.
Curator’s Notes
Living low to the floor isn’t something we’re accustomed to in North America but I’ve recently found that it brings a whole other dimension to our home environment. The flexibility of a short-legged, foldable table like a chabudai allows you to bring it in and out of storage to create temporary living spaces for needs like studying, having breakfast or afternoon tea. With a few floor cushions sitting on the ground can also be very comfortable on the body. The rectangular version can be found here.
