Curator’s Notes

The high standard of cleanliness and the use of tissue-pack marketing have made pocket tissue packs a common sight in Japan. This small wooden box from Azmaya is designed to hold tissue packs, but its size is also ideal for other small goods. Made of hinoki wood, which is naturally mold and mildew resistant, the box stands up well against water and humidity. With its beautiful wood grain and evergreen scent, we think this hinoki box makes for an elegant container to organize toiletries and accessories in the bathroom.
