Description
I am a Black Katakuchi with Handle. To get a handle on dark, wet, pouring days, I embrace nature’s imperfections.
Curator’s Notes
Keisuke Iwata’s pieces have uneven texture and glazes that give each piece it’s own unique characteristics. This katakuchi in particular, with a perfectly pitched handle and spout, allows an elegant pour of sake, cream or gravy. It can also be used as a water cooling pitcher to lower the temperature of boiled water before steeping tea.
