Description
I am a Round Kuro-Mura Brass Serving Tray. Come out of the circle of time and work and into the circle of relaxation and great drinks!
Curator’s Notes
The classic shape and Kuro-Mura casted surface on these trays gives them an antique appearance. This traditional method of casting mixes pigments with Japanese lacquer (urushi) giving a unique texture and sophisticated appearance. Their weight feels substantial and appropriate for daily use while the slow oxidization of the blackened brass makes its coloration and texture look richer over many years of usage.
