Curator’s Notes

The flat expanse of surface on this circular tray showcases Takayoshi’s signature brush-stroke textures with minimal distraction. The edges have been raised just enough to provide a proper rim while maintaining a low and elegant profile. From afar, its material is hard to identify, as Narita-san transforms practical stainless steel into an ethereal structure as mysterious as the distant surface of the moon.
