Curator’s Notes

This shoehorn constructed entirely in wood helps you slide into footwear with ease and comfort. Lightweight enough to bring along during travels and striking as as object with it’s asymmetrical form.

“Kime” means texture or wood grain in Japanese and each Kime product features the unique qualities of the wood it is made from. The sleek shapes and smooth texture highlight the outstanding skill of the craftsmen who make each piece in Asahikawa, Japan.
