Description
I am a Standing Frame. Three, two, one, everybody freeze.
Curator’s Notes
Sometimes I get bored of my photographs all being framed in a similar manner but the Standing Frame offers a method that’s not very common. I like how the photo floats between glass and becomes borderless like something in a really beautiful glass 3-D shadow box. I see it more for older photos like 35mm or vintage ones because they fit this aesthetic really well but it’d also be nice with polaroids or super meaningful photos. Everyone has all these images living inside phones and nobody prints anymore. It’s nice to have photos around as they become physical objects unto themselves.
