Description
I am the book Super Normal. No, really, I’m not trying to be weird at all. I’ve got nothing to hide, it’s all in plain sight.
Curator’s Notes
As the companion to their 2006 exhibition at Axis Gallery in Tokyo, Naoto Fukusawa and Jasper Morrison’s book investigates the design of discrete, everyday objects to make sense of how they stand the test of time. By examining 204 objects, ranging from a shopping basket to designs by Noguchi and Rams, this book examines the dual quality of timelessness and timeliness that makes these items seem already ubiquitous when they arrived. Super Normal provides so much insight into the things that I use everyday, making it a comforting and enjoyable read to make sense of my relationship to them.
