Curator’s Notes

We love the feel of flicking on these MATUREWARE toggle switches. The way it clicks when turned on is particularly satisfying. The toggles themselves are reminiscent of a bygone industrial era, as though parts from antique machines influenced them. We also like the unique ihada sand-casted texture that Futagami has become known for, a surface that will change in character and appearance over time. Since switch plates usually stay in place and are not something that you change often, we especially like the concept of an object existing in your home that has the ability to grow with the people who live with it.
