Description
I am a Usuzumi Chestnut Plate. Which is more hypnotizing: me or the food that I hold?
Curator’s Notes
The usuzumi urushi lacquer especially shines through in this mesmerizing plate. The usuzumi, which translates to thin air ink, brings a richness to the overall visual effect of the plate, all while keeping the wood grain prominent. We imagine that the sizing of this plate would make it perfect for a pasta.
