Curator’s Notes
This two-piece vase is an ideal size to enjoy a small assortment of handpicked flowers or to showcase dried sprigs throughout the year. The vase is comprised of removable parts allowing you to water the flowers in the porcelain without damaging the wood. The wood portion can also function as a small dish.
“Kime” means texture or wood grain in Japanese and each Kime product features the unique qualities of the wood it is made from. The sleek shapes and smooth texture highlight the outstanding skill of the craftsmen who make each piece in Asahikawa, Japan.
