Its wide rim, with a small beveled edge, expertly crafted, frames each dish with grace, enhancing your dining experience. Mitani’s signature “White” urushi lacquer reads as the perfect neutral putty colour, providing a warm, natural backdrop. With every meal served on this plate, you’re not just enjoying food; you’re savoring the meticulous craftsmanship and passion infused into each stroke and curve. • Handcrafted in Matsumoto, Japan
• Features Ryuji Mitani’s signature on the bottom of the plate
• Soft beveled edge wraps around the plate
• Rim is 1.75″ wide
• Center plating area is around 4.8″ in diameter
• Bottom center surface of plate is lacquered black
• Do not soak urushi lacquered pieces in water for prolonged periods
• Wash with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Rinse with warm water
• Wipe with a cloth and dry well
• Each piece is unique and will have variations
• Urushi lacquer will patina and change in texture and color with time and use
