Curator’s Notes

From a single piece of iron, this wrought-iron turner was born. The fluid lines are evidence of Takayoshi Narita’s eye for beauty and the slight irregularities indicate that it was made completely by his hand. Its textured surface has the alien luster of a meteorite, and its sturdy body holds memories of heat and pressure from the intense process of its firing.
