Zhejiang Carved Cabinet

Zhejiang, circa 1900

With a fairly simple style, this cabinet is typical of the Zhejiang region and is made from fir wood – a common material in that part of China. The doors are nicely decorated with relief carvings of bamboo and fit directly into the upper and lower frames on wooden dowel hinges, the cabinet has a lovely rich, reddish brown finish and has a single removable shelf inside.
