Description
I am the book ‘Manufacture’. Wouldn’t you like to know how I am made?
Curator’s Notes
Delve deeper into the design and craftsmanship of Hender Scheme’s leather goods with their book ‘Manufacture’. The book offers a close look at the tools, materials, processes and, most importantly, the team behind each Hender Scheme product. Featuring snapshots of the small ateliers in which their products are made, ‘Manufacture’ pays homage to the community in Asakusa, Tokyo, the historic center of shoe and leather specialists in Japan where their products are still made to this day.
