Curator’s Notes

We love how lightweight these square bamboo plates are while still being very durable. Since 1898, Kohchosai has been specializing in making a variety of bamboo craft products. The Minotake line, designed by the world-renowned Makoto Koizumi, utilizes the natural properties and curvature of bamboo to create a series of cutlery items and kitchen tools. Each bamboo piece is naturally lightweight, uniquely curved and features purposeful angles and arches. A smaller version of this plate is available here.
