Curator’s Notes

This knitted linen floor mat is part of our collaboration with Fog Linen, made using the offcuts from the linen projects we develop together throughout the year. Rather than let the leftover material go to waste, we worked together to transform it into something useful and beautiful in its simplicity.

The natural color of the linen gives the mat a soft, neutral tone that fits easily into many spaces. We’ve been using ours in all the in-between places: by the bed, near the sink, at the door. The knitted texture adds a tactile quality, both visually and underfoot. It’s the kind of thing that feels right in a home and makes sense as a gift too, especially for someone settling into a new space.
