Description

I am the book Neo-Prehistory – 100 Verbs. Verbs are the part of a sentence that drives the narrative. With so many in my pages, I bet you can’t wait for all the stories I will tell.

Curator’s Notes

Neo-Prehistory – 100 Verbs was an expansive exhibition curated by Andrea Branzi and Kenya Hara for the Triennale di Milano in 2016. With the premise of connecting 100 verbs to 100 corresponding objects, the exhibition traces the role of design in human history. This exhibition catalogue offers a closer look at the objects chosen — from stone tools to fake eyelashes — and the words associated to them, drawing out the human needs and desires underlying them. Written in English, Italian and Japanese and photographed by Yoshiko Ueda, this book provides nuanced insight into the history of human invention as we write its future.
